Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a skilled Facilitator to support the Department of Labor VETS Transition Assistance Program (TAP). The role involves teaching military personnel transitioning to civilian careers, guiding goal-setting, and addressing employment and education gaps.

You will deliver both in-person and virtual instruction, manage groups up to 50, and complete required administrative tasks. Experience as a trainer/instructor, knowledge of employment processes, and strong communication with military

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3 years of experience as a professional trainer/facilitator/classroom instructor.
• OR an Associate’s degree.
• Experience as a classroom instructor.
• Understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
• Knowledge of workplace requirements for entry into jobs.
• Ability to train groups up to 50 participants.
• Familiar with MS Windows and Office.
• Excellent communication with Military clients and Government representatives.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Teach and instruct military personnel transitioning to civilian occupations.
• Guide transitioning service members in setting goals and identifying employment or education gaps.
• Provide comprehensive guidance on civilian employment, job searching, applications, networking, and credentialing.
• Assist in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs and schools.
• Conduct small and large group instruction on the job search process.
• Deliver standardized curriculum in-person or virtually.
• Complete administrative tasks including travel expenses and classroom reports.
