Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks part-time facilitators to support the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) for servicemembers and families nationwide. You will teach civilian career skills, guide goal setting, and help identify employment gaps through in-person or virtual sessions.

Responsibilities include group instruction, coordinating with partners, and completing administrative travel and classroom reports. Training is provided, and travel reimbursements apply for assignments over 50 miles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3 years of experience as a professional trainer/facilitator/classroom instructor.
• OR an Associate’s degree with classroom instruction experience.
• Experience showing understanding of private and public sector employment processes.
• Ability to train groups up to 50 participants and work with military clients.
• Proficient with MS Windows and Office; capable of independent work and following directions.

Responsibilities

• Teach and/or instruct military personnel transitioning to civilian occupations.
• Guide transitioning service members in setting goals and identifying employment gaps.
• Provide guidance on job search, networking, credentialing, and education options.
• Assist in preparing for civilian employment and participation in programs and schools.
• Conduct group instruction on the job search process, in-person or virtual.
• Complete travel expense and classroom reports in a timely manner.
