Job summary

JVS SoCal is seeking an SSVF Case Manager to join a dedicated team helping homeless veterans secure and retain housing across Los Angeles County. You will assess needs, link clients to services, provide problem-solving support, and help develop skills for independent living, working in person at multiple partner sites.

Qualifications include a BA/BS in Social Work or related field (or equivalent experience), 3+ years with priority populations, and strong MS Office and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Social Work or related field (may be substituted by experience).
• Four years of case management or housing navigation experience may substitute education.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate housing barriers for homeless veterans and families.
• Provide comprehensive case management and housing support.
• Assist in articulating housing goals and action plans.
• Coordinate services and build linkages with providers.
• Collect data for HMIS and ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
• Determine eligibility for VA HUD VASH/SSVF and other programs.
• Assist in housing searches and review leases and rights.
• Monitor progress and maintain records across databases.
• Travelling to partner sites and supporting participants; some evenings/weekends.
