Valor Healthcare seeks a full-time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in Okeechobee, FL to deliver prescribed medical treatment and patient care under a supervising physician. You will collaborate with the PACT team and VA/community-based services to develop comprehensive care plans.

You will ensure timely documentation, follow VA guidelines, and provide excellent patient service to veterans. Certification, licensure, and strong communication are essential for this safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with MSN and NP preparation.
• Certification by the applicable professional organization.
• Minimum one-year clinical experience in primary/ambulatory care; VA contract preferred.
• Credentialed and in good standing with VA.
• Active, valid license to practice as NP in the states served by VA contract.
• Current BLS; ACLS as specified by VA contract; DEA registration.

Responsabilités

• Actively diagnoses and treats veterans under physician supervision.
• Develops and implements patient management plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and communicates results.
• Counsels patients on medications and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Ensures documentation within 24 hours of encounters.
• Adheres to VA guidelines, formulary processes and encounter completion timelines.
