Job summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide prescribed medical treatment and care in our veterans clinic. You will collaborate with the PACT Team and VA partners to develop patient care plans and deliver high-quality care to patriots in a clinic setting.

The role requires MSN, VA credentialing, BLS/ACLS, DEA registration, and strong English communication, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and patient-centric service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and MSN-credentialed nurse practitioner.
• Certification by applicable professional organization.
• Minimum one-year clinical experience (three years preferred) as a CRNP within the last 4 years in primary/ambulatory care; government healthcare environment preferred.
• Must be credentialed and in good standing with the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted license in the state of employment (or applicable VA requirements).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications as specified by VA contract.
• Current DEA registration.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong computer skills.
• Energetic and optimistic demeanor.
• Safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Actively diagnoses and treats our veterans under supervising physician.
• Examines patient for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders.
• Develops and implements patient management plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Orders and performs diagnostic tests and interprets results, with patient follow up.
• Counsels patients on medications and health maintenance.
• Evaluates records from external providers per VA rules.
• Completes clinical reminders during visits and documents medical records within 24 hours.
• Adheres to VA guidelines and formulary/post-encounter documentation standards.
• Supports patient enrollment and outreach events.
• Delivers excellent customer service to veterans and staff.
