Job summary

Valor Healthcare in Okeechobee, FL is seeking a full-time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care for veterans in the clinic, under physician supervision. The role collaborates with the PACT team to develop patient care plans and ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has MSN, NP certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience in primary or ambulatory care; experience in government healthcare environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program (MSN required).
• Certification by applicable professional organization.
• Minimum one-year clinical experience as a CRNP in primary/ambulatory care; government healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively diagnoses and treats veterans under physician supervision.
• Examines patients for symptoms of disorders.
• Develops and implements patient management plans and continuity of care.
• Orders and performs diagnostic tests; interprets results and notifies patients.
• Counsels patients on medications, educates, assesses mental health, and provides routine health maintenance.
