Job summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care to veterans in a VA-aligned clinic. You will work with the PACT team to develop and implement patient care plans and ensure timely documentation, while complying with VA guidelines and training requirements.

The role requires MSN, VA credentialing, BLS/ACLS, and DEA registration, with strong English communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and MSN-prepared nurse practitioner, including preceptorship.
• Certification by applicable professional organization.
• Minimum one-year clinical experience as CRNP within the last 4 years in primary/ambulatory care; government VA contract preferred.
• Must be credentialed and in good standing with VA.
• Must hold an unrestricted license in the state of employment or as required by VA contract.
• Current BLS (renewed as specified) and ACLS as required by VA contract.
• Current unrestricted DEA registration.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong computer skills.
• Energetic and optimistic demeanor.
• Strong service mentality and adherence to service standards.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care to veterans as directed by a physician or mid-level provider.
• Collaborate with the PACT team and expanded team to develop patient care plans.
• Actively diagnose and treat veterans under supervision.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and notify patients of results.
• Counsel patients on medications and assess mental health needs.
• Ensure documentation of the medical record within 24 hours of each encounter.
• Comply with VA guidelines, formulary, and required trainings.
• Support clinic enrollment and outreach activities and customer service excellence.
