Job summary

Spoon River College is seeking a full-time Financial Aid Veterans Specialist on the Macomb Campus to administer federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs, including veterans benefits, across the four campuses. You will enter and maintain student data, assist with needs analysis, and prepare required reports.

The role reports to the Assistant Dean of Student Services and requires strong MS Office skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Two years’ financial aid or related experience required.
• Experience in a community college setting is preferred.
• Strong data entry and MS Office skills; confidentiality essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in administering federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs.
• Maintains student information in the college system and processes aid.
• Completes needs analysis, certificates, and reports; works with veterans programs.
• Supports across four Spoon River College campuses; participates in committees.
