Job summary

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and at least one year in customer service; preferred BA/BS and two years in financial aid offices or veterans’ benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
• One year of experience working in a customer service capacity
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
• Preferred: Two years of experience in a financial assistance office
• Preferred: Two years of experience with veterans’ education benefits
• Preferred: Two years of experience with document imaging software
• Preferred: Two years of experience with financial assistance modules in the college’s SIS

Responsibilities

• Counsel and advise students concerning financial assistance opportunities and application processes
• Maintain applicant files and review financial assistance forms for completion
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Prepare and maintain student files and related correspondence
• Coordinate with external and internal partners to ensure program compliance
• Provide information on veterans’ benefits and assist with VA files
