U.S. VETS is seeking an Employment Specialist in Long Beach, CA to help veterans prepare for, secure, and maintain employment. You will meet with clients weekly, craft individualized development plans, and support resumes, applications, and interviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2 years can substitute for degree.
• Minimum 1 year of job development experience.
• Experience with homeless individuals or veterans preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Meet clients weekly to support job search activities.
• Develop Employment Development Plans with goals and target areas.
• Assist with resumes, cover letters, and applications.
• Identify job opportunities and build relationships with employers.
• Coordinate employer outreach and job openings with partners.
• Facilitate employment workshops and mock interviews.
• Maintain accurate workforce records and reports.
• Attend community events to expand resources.
