Job summary

CENTER FOR VETERANS ISSUES INC is seeking a Full Time position in Madison, WI to provide mental health screening, case management, and crisis intervention for Veterans. The role includes developing ISPs, coordinating with VA resources, and delivering WRAPs and safety planning.

The program requires a 4 year degree in social services and up to 50% travel; experience with Veterans is strongly preferred. A valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required for service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in case management including needs assessment and service planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in social services; substitution of Associate degree with 4–5 years acceptable.
• Experience working with Veterans strongly preferred.
• Resident of the proposed service area with familiarity with the region and resources; valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the immediate safety of individuals assessed through crisis management and de-escalation.
• Administer the C-SSRS to evaluate risk and determine interventions.
• Develop and implement WRAPs and safety plans.
• Provide gatekeeper training to Veterans, families, and partners on recognizing warning signs.
