Prestera Center for Mental Health Services in Charleston, West Virginia seeks a dedicated Veteran’s Liaison to engage veteran communities, coordinate outreach activities, and help connect eligible veterans with VA benefits and local supports.

The role prioritizes building partnerships with military and veteran groups, traveling across the state, advocating for access to housing, education, and employment resources, and supporting recovery goals while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Formación

• Knowledge of veteran services and federal/state regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent time management.
• Ability to travel across West Virginia and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Establishes relationships with active military and veteran groups to collaborate on programs.
• Plans, organizes and implements community outreach strategies to increase awareness of the program throughout West Virginia.
• Travels across WV to generate awareness and establish referral relationships with the VA and other providers.
• Provide advocacy and assistance to obtain VA benefits and other sources including housing, education and employment resources.
• Gather data using the Recovery Capital Scale at entry and quarterly thereafter.
