Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Transportation Assistant - Transportation Coordinator to serve as the primary contact to Veterans for transportation needs.

The incumbent will work with the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) Supervisory Mobility Manager for workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, and quality improvement implementation, modification of processes, evaluation, and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Transportation Services program.

Qualifications

• At least one full year of specialized experience at GS-05 level in the Federal service directly related to transportation support duties.
• Experience coordinating connections/scheduling, documenting travel information, and entering data into automated tracking databases.
• Ability to analyze data and generate a variety of reports; plan and direct a program that provides support services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation workload forecasting, scheduling design, and procedure development for the Veteran Transportation Services program.
• Assist in quality improvement implementations and modification of processes to optimize operations.
• Provide ongoing evaluation and support for the operational flow of transportation services for Veterans.
