Job summary

Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Denver, CO is seeking a Veteran Support Advocate to assist Veterans in transitioning back into the community, promoting independence and self-directed tools for success, and to coordinate with our supportive housing team.

This full-time on-site role requires compassionate engagement, crisis response, and collaboration with Case Managers and clinicians. The position offers 24/7 coverage shifts, on-site work, and a salary between $55,000 and $65,000 per year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 2 years in social/human services.
• Strong organizational and design skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask.
• Must complete two-week training (Mental Health First Aid, CPR/NARCAN, etc.).
• Valid Driver License.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterans in transitioning back into the community, supporting independence and growth.
• Help Veterans access and navigate community and internal resources.
• Provide individual and group support focused on self-help and reintegration.
• Observe behaviors indicating difficulty adapting and report concerns.
• Maintain a visible, safe presence in the facility through routine walkthroughs.
• Monitor and solve program participant issues; submit documentation promptly.
• Implement crisis management strategies to ensure safety.
• Collaborate with Case Managers and clinicians to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of Veteran interactions.
• Attend staff meetings and ongoing trainings.
• Collaborate with emergency services to de-escalate and respond to crises.
• Provide shift coverage to ensure 24/7 operations.
