Job summary

King County’s Department of Community and Human Services is seeking a Veteran Reentry Program Coordinator to support veterans involved in the criminal legal system. The role coordinates reentry plans, links veterans to housing, healthcare, and benefits, and collaborates with VA partners for seamless service delivery.

The position is hybrid, with primary onsite work in Tukwila, WA, 40 hours/week, and requires knowledge of veteran resources and strong data skills.

Qualifications

• Security clearance required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with veteran services or criminal legal system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach and reentry support for veterans involved in the criminal legal system.
• Conduct needs assessments and coordinate reentry plans with community resources.
• Assist with accessing housing, healthcare, veterans benefits, and other entitlements.
• Coordinate appointments and serve as liaison with VA Puget Sound and WDVA partners.
• Gather data and analyze trends to support program development and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with King County Veterans Program and correctional facilities to support veterans.
