Job summary

City Mission in Washington, PA seeks a House Coordinator for Veterans to shepherd a group of veterans in a residential program, managing a caseload and developing individualized strategies to support transitions from homelessness to independence.

You will work with an integrated program team, provide client-centered, faith-based treatment, monitor safety and progress, and help residents access vocational and community resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified recovery specialist certification or Peer Support Certification preferred.
• Previous military service highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold mission and core values.
• Maintain safety and security of residents.
• Provide case management and coordinate services for independent living.
• Use Christ-centered approach in treatment.
• Provide spiritual counseling and advocacy.
• Refer residents to external resources as needed.
• Develop comprehensive resident plans and conduct classes.
• Monitor progress and maintain case files.
• Enter documentation into the data system.
• May transport residents to meet goals.
• Build relationships with veterans’ service organizations.
