Job summary

Community Health Resources seeks a Recovery Coach to join the Department of Corrections program in Hartford/Enfield, CT. This full-time, 40-hour per week role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., supporting inmates with Medication Assisted Treatment.

Responsibilities include helping clients set recovery goals, developing person-centered plans, crisis intervention, linking to resources, and thorough documentation. Certifications and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support & Recovery Specialist (CPSRP) or Recovery Coach Certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CPR & First Aid Certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• 2+ years experience with identified populations; CPSRP preferred; self-identifies in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating recovery goals.
• Uses motivational interventions to educate on recovery strategies.
• Conducts program-specific assessments and screens as indicated.
• Creates individualized, person-centered treatment plans with clients.
• Delivers skills teaching and crisis intervention as needed.
• Provides case management and links to supports within the community.
