National University seeks a Veterans Center Coordinator to support military affiliated and veteran students with GI Bill funding, transition counseling, and event coordination. You will serve as the VMCC subject matter expert, guiding departments and staff with information to empower student success.

You will help with programmatic questions, outreach, and training for admissions advisors and campus partners, ensuring a smooth university experience for veteran students and coordinating quarterly

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (psychology, social work, communications or related fields).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with veterans/military personnel.
• Minimum 1 year in a higher education student-facing role.
• Military service preferred; higher education experience preferred.
• Experience in a technology-driven enterprise preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to student questions related to disability services.
• Assist the Associate Director with VMCC operations.
• Advocate for student veterans and coordinate benefits education.
• Answer or troubleshoot programmatic certifying questions.
• Plan interdepartmental outreach and coordinate events.
• Develop and deliver training on student veteran benefits campus-wide.
• Coordinate Welcome Aboard and First Week Jam events and other VMCC activities.
• Be the first contact for student military/veteran inquiries and concerns.
• Provide military cultural awareness information to staff and faculty.
• Collaborate on veteran success programs and outreach activities.
