Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Program Manager for the Veteran Transitional Housing Program to oversee trauma-informed, housing-focused services for veterans experiencing homelessness. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive contract outcomes with program funders.

The role operates within a shelter and transitional housing system, requiring regular on-call rotations and a focus on housing and employment outcomes for participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, human services, or related field.
• 1 year of direct supervisory or management experience.
• Experience fulfilling program compliance and administrative requirements.
• Ability to lead teams of human service professionals.
• Must possess a Colorado driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the Veteran Transitional Housing Program (GPD).
• Supervise staff and manage program operations and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with VA, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Achieve contract outcomes and monitor grant agreements with program funders.
• Develop budgets and monitor expenses; drive continuous program improvement.
