Job summary

MWVCAA is seeking a Veteran Housing Coordinator in Salem to negotiate rental opportunities and resolve housing barriers. You will partner with landlords and clients to create individualized housing plans aimed at self-sufficiency and stability.

The role emphasizes collaboration with veteran services and housing authorities to secure supports. The position requires a Bachelor's in Social Services and at least two years in case management or social services, with strong planning and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or related field.

Responsibilities

Assess participant eligibility and gather documentation.
Collaborate with Veteran Services Officer team to support tenancy.
Coordinate with Salem Housing Authority and partners to provide financial assistance.
Complete participant assessments for continued eligibility and needs.
Develop individualized action plans and monitor progress.
Maintain participant files and data in HMIS/MOTS.
Assist housing search and landlord relationships.
Identify needs for barrier removal funds and coordinate financial support.
Engage in community outreach and follow up with partner agencies.
Ensure compliance with MWVCAA safety and personnel policies.
