Job summary

Central Oregon Veterans Outreach seeks a housing outreach professional to increase access to private and public rental markets for Veterans moving from homelessness to permanent housing. The role focuses on landlord outreach, client support for housing applications, and coordination with SSVF and community partners to strengthen housing stability.

Responsibilities include developing outreach strategies, maintaining records, and educating landlords and the public about available resources.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with indigent or at-risk populations preferred.
Knowledge of landlord/tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and disciplines.
Must have Oregon driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

Increase access to rental markets for Veterans moving from homelessness to permanent housing.
Build relationships with landlords and property managers across tri-county area.
Assist clients with applications and housing search.
Provide outreach and education to landlords and the public about SSVF and community resources.
Maintain confidential client records and log activities.
Coordinate with Housing Case Managers to ensure ongoing permanent housing.
Conduct tenant and landlord education trainings.
Attend staff meetings and participate in weekly case management.
