Job summary

American GI Forum - National Veterans Outreach Program in Dallas is seeking a Case Manager for the SSVF program. You will develop case plans, assist with housing placement, and coordinate temporary financial aid and other support services to stabilize at-risk veteran families.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or substantial related experience), strong communication, and the ability to handle documentation and referrals. This is a full-time position with benefits and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher and at least 3 years in a role interacting with low-income individuals, veterans, or similar populations.
• Experience performing as a case manager in job counseling, employment, or related field preferred.
• Must have transportation and a valid Texas driver's license; ability to pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Develop a case management plan with clients addressing needs and barriers.
• Provide housing placement assistance and temporary financial support to stabilize families.
• Coordinate VA benefits, healthcare access, daily living services, and other supports as needed.
• Prepare and submit service requests and MIS data for client cases.
• Maintain client files, notes, and correspondence; generate reports as required.
• Ensure confidentiality and professional conduct with clients and stakeholders.
