Job summary

Matrix Providers Inc. is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to perform one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in West Des Moines, IA.

This on-site role supports patient care during sensitive procedures and ensures proper gender representation for patient preferences. The NP must hold an active NP license and BLS certification, be able to work independently with strong interpersonal skills, and comply with vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Active NP license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• VA exam experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and perform one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam via web-based examinations; submit electronically to VA.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory assessments.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on-site or nearby.
