Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of medical professionals to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in West Des Moines, IA.

The position is full-time with a Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm schedule, offering a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan. On-site role with vaccination and BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam through web-based examination forms; complete documentation electronically.
• Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on location or nearby.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is a hourly position. $55.00 – $ 58.59
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

This role supports patient care during sensitive procedures where patients may request a same-gender staff member. The facility seeks to ensure appropriate gender representation among staff to accommodate patient choice.
