Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm schedule.

Compensation is hourly, paid bi-weekly at $60.07-$63.23/hr, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid holidays and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• The Nurse Practitioner must hold an active NP license for the duration of employment.
• Active BLS certification is required.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility to changing situations.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• All on-site staff must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Review medical history and provide one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam via web-based examination forms; exams are sent to VA for determinations.
• Administer standard exams including musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on location or nearby.

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP must have and meet the following qualifications:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner for the duration of your employment.
• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
