Job summary

Kia VTAP in the United States offers eligible veterans a path to become Kia Certified Service Technicians. This one-year competency-based apprenticeship combines hands-on shop training with Kia diagnostics, equipment, and a clear certification pathway.

Participants gain access to tools, vehicles, and ongoing mentoring, with potential for full-time employment at a Kia Retailer and benefits through GI Bill, including housing allowance where eligible.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Must be willing to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia and Retailer policies.
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose/repair components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools.
• Perform services promptly while communicating with shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a great customer experience.
