Job summary

Kia VTAP offers veterans an opportunity to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician through a one-year competency-based apprenticeship with participating Kia Retailers.

Apprentices diagnose, repair, and service Kia vehicles using Kia diagnostic strategies, completing orders and ensuring a smooth customer experience. The program includes training, certification, and potential access to a GI Bill housing allowance.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Experience in a technical/mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components
• Complete repair orders and warranty requests per Kia/Retailer policies
• Test drive vehicles and diagnose components using Kia diagnostic strategies and tools
• Communicate with shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a positive customer experience
