Job summary

Fairfield Kia in Keene, NH, is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for an Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship. This is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), a structured GI Bill®-approved program that supports veterans as they gain hands-on dealership experience.

Participants work full-time at a Kia dealership while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship that leads to Kia Service Technician certification, with eligible

Qualifications

• Must have honorable discharge from U.S. military service.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.
• Prior mechanical or technical field experience required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair Kia vehicles per Kia procedures.
• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs using dealership tools.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Communicate with service advisors to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment.
