Job summary

Kiavets in Lowell, NC is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience for a position as an Automotive Service Technician. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), offering full-time employment and structured training leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles, performing inspections, and maintaining a safe work environment. All eligible Veterans may receive a Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA) through the GI Bill during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
• Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors.

Skills
