Job summary

Kiavets in Springfield, MO is seeking Military Veterans for a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician. This role is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), allowing participants to gain hands-on experience while completing a one-year apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification.

As an Apprentice, you will diagnose and repair Kia vehicles with the guidance of experienced technicians. A valid driver's license and prior mechanical experience are required, while being an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engines and electrical systems.
• Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics using Kia diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and ensure a positive customer experience.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field

Education
