The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) in San Jose, CA is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience who wish to start a rewarding career as Automotive Service Technicians. Participants will engage in a structured one-year apprenticeship, gaining hands-on experience while working full-time at a Kia dealership. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles. Candidates must have military discharge, a clean driving record, and a background in mechanical work. This program is GI Bill-approved and provides training resources as well as a Monthly Housing Allowance for eligible veterans.
Qualifications
Must have an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Military.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field preferred.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles including various systems.
Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs.
Complete repair orders and warranty documentation as required.
