Kiavets is looking for Military Veterans with mechanical experience to join their team as Automotive Service Technicians. This role involves participation in the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), offering hands-on experience and training at a Kia dealership. Veterans will develop essential skills for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing Kia vehicles. This full-time position also provides support through the GI Bill® for eligible participants, making it a great opportunity for those transitioning into the automotive industry.
Qualifications
Must have an Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills are necessary.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including various systems.
Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs using Kia procedures.
Complete repair orders and warranty documentation according to policies.
Test drive vehicles and verify repair quality with diagnostic tools.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment following safety procedures.
