Job summary

CityVet in Porter, TX is hiring Veterinary Technician Assistants. A minimum of one year of veterinary experience is preferred, though entry-level candidates can be trained.

The TA supports the VT by handling technical tasks, patient prep, and front-office communication to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include assisting with anesthesia, triage, and patient care under doctor supervision, while also supporting the client service team as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old.
• At least one year in veterinary industry preferred, but entry-level positions are available.

Responsibilities

• Assist the VT in preparing patients for medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including anesthesia administration and restraint.
• Support the Veterinary Technician and VT teams, handling scheduling and basic treatments under supervision.
• Record observations and treatment plans in patient files; assist with medical treatments as directed by the doctor.
• Assist the Client Service Specialist team as needed.
