Job summary

Vane Line Bunkering Llc is seeking a seasoned Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of tugs and barges, ensuring high vessel availability and regulatory compliance. You will supervise shipyard projects, manage budgets, and coordinate with port captains and master mariners to minimize downtime.

Candidate should have a Marine Engineering degree or extensive related experience, with strong planning, cost control, and communication skills, ready to lead cross-functional

Qualifications

• B.S. in Marine Engineering or 10 years in a related field.
• Seagoing experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel locally and support operations as needed.
• Written and verbal communications at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve routine and complex vessel repair problems to maintain readiness and safety.
• Oversee maintenance and repair to optimize vessel availability and protect asset value.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (ABS, USCG) for vessels and inspections.
• Plan, develop and contract major shipyard events with budgets and schedules.
• Monitor and control maintenance budgets and costs across the fleet.
• Coordinate shipyard activities and provide engineering support during audits and vettings.
