Qualifications
Must be physically fit to board barges and tugs at sea and in port.
Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive communications.
Ability to work with others using courtesy and good judgment.
Responsibilities
Schedule maintenance of tugs and barges with Port Engineer.
Keep records of maintenance performed.
Perform inspections of vessels for compliance.
Skills
Experience maintaining tugs and barges
Ability to repair marine equipment on site
Knowledge of oil transportation and marine industry
Proficient using Microsoft Suite
Ability to work independently
Education
US Coast Guard license as DDE Unlimited or higher
Two years of experience on tugs, tankers, or military experience
Four years of experience in the maritime industry
Tools
Mechanical tools for repairs
Computers (Word and Excel)
