Job summary

Centerline Logistics is looking for a skilled technician to manage the repair and maintenance of tugs and barges in Seattle. The role involves performing inspections, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Ideal candidates will have significant maritime experience along with a proactive approach towards maintaining high standards of service and equipment. A strong emphasis on teamwork and communication with both office staff and vessel crews is required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining tugs and barges.
• Two years of experience on tugs, tankers, or equivalent military experience.
• Must be able to read, write, understand English in person and over the telephone.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform repairs and maintenance on tugs and barges.
• Keep records of maintenance and report to funding agencies.
• Perform inspections for repair compliance.

Skills

Vessel repair and maintenance

Experience on tugs and barges

Ability to repair marine equipment

Proficient using Microsoft Suite

Communication in English

Valid State drivers' license

First Aid/CPR training

Education

Four year college education in Maritime field

5 years of experience as engineer on tugs
