Kirby Corporation seeks a shore-side dispatcher to relay information between vessels and onshore personnel, coordinating orders, trips, and fleet movements. The role involves using the Oasis system to enter trip data and track fleeting activities across Bolivar, Texas City, Freeport, Beaumont and Port Arthur.

The position requires working a 12-hour rotating shift with 24-hour dispatch coverage, strong written and verbal communication, and comfort with weather and water-related operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year dispatch experience or towing industry experience; college degree may substitute for experience.
• Must be able to operate VHF radio and standard office equipment.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with Houston dispatch, Sales, Customers, and vessel & barge movements within Bolivar, Texas City, Freeport, Beaumont, and Port Arthur.
• Enter Trip information and orders into Oasis to meet trip requirements; track fleeting (Kirby and 3rd party).
• Coordinate repairs by contacting Vessel or Barge M&R.
• Set up Shore Tankerman and coordinate with Logistics Management as needed.
• Coordinate and assist with general fleeting operations and daily fleet activity.
• Maintain daily logs and coordinate assignment of horsepower and barge movements.
