Kirby Inland Marine Lp is seeking a dispatch-focused team member in Texas to coordinate vessel and barge movements, logs, and trip details. The role requires communicating via VHF radio, Oasis system entries, and coordination with multiple internal teams.

The candidate should have 1 year of dispatch or towing industry experience, be organized, and capable of multi-tasking in a busy environment. Open shifts include 12-hour days with 7 days on/off rotation near Bolivar/ Texas City.

Qualifications

• Must be organized, detail-oriented, accurate.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and VHF radio.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with Houston dispatch, Sales, Customers, and all vessel & barge movements in Bolivar, Texas City, Freeport, Beaumont, and Port Arthur.
• Communicate with vessels via VHF radio and Oasis program; enter trip information and orders; log all fleeting entries.
• Contact Vessel or Barge M&R to coordinate repairs.
• Set up Shore Tankerman and coordinate with Logistics Management as needed.
• Coordinate and assist in general fleeting operations.
• Maintain communications with Kirby Traffic for trip details and horsepower assignments.
• Coordinate all barge movements in/out of Kirby fleet; keep daily logs and inspections.
• Know Facility Security Plan and control all persons entering/exiting the gated facility.
• Participate in required security drills and exercises.
