Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUHA) seeks a Surgical Technologist to serve as scrub tech, surgeon assistant, and circulator for neonatal through geriatric cases under the direct supervision of an RN. Cross-training to other OR duties may occur.

Qualification includes graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, certification after 2008, and BLS through AHA. Regular benefits and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Technical College, or equivalent, with accredited Surgical Technologist curricula.
• Surgical Technologist Certification required after 2008
• Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

• Scrub person, surgeon assistant, and assistant circulator for all patient procedures under RN supervision.
• May be cross-trained to other duties within the surgery department.
