Job summary

Front Porch is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for Pilgrim Tower-AH in Los Angeles. The role covers maintenance, operation, and safety, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and minor carpentry.

The position involves inspecting equipment, repairing components, and responding to work orders across residential units and common areas. On-call duties may apply; housing on-site is possible depending on community needs.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not required; two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Willingness to be on-call for maintenance and resident emergencies; may require on-site housing depending on community.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, maintains and repairs electrical equipment, plumbing, and related systems.
• Dismantles defective machines or equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Performs plumbing repairs and maintenance; handles minor carpentry and painting tasks.
• Responds to work orders for individual units and common areas; coordinates with vendors as needed.
• Keeps records of work performed and aids in preventive maintenance planning.

Education

High school education preferred but not required. Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
