Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for Abilene, TX. You will operate excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders to support heavy civil construction projects, while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, daily logs, blueprint interpretation, and coordination with the crew. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of equipment experience are required. Physical stamina and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience operating heavy civil construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and survey markers.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders).
• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections and report issues.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and production.
• Grade and excavate per plans and specs; assist with loading/unloading materials.
• Communicate effectively with crew, supervisors, and site personnel.
• Perform basic maintenance like greasing and cleaning.
