Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil seeks an experienced Field Engineer for an Abilene, TX project in our Heavy Highway Division. You will provide technical engineering support on field construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans and specs while coordinating with field staff.

Responsibilities include scheduling support, material deliveries coordination, permit acquisition, and safety coordination with the Safety Department.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of construction engineering or construction management degree or equivalent.
• Willingness to move/travel to projects.
• Proficient reading and interpreting construction drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Assist in preparation, review, and coordination of project submittals.
• Skilled in assigning and tracking cost codes and managing project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen to ensure plans and specs are followed and costs are managed.
• Bring deficiencies to attention of inspector and Project Manager.
• Assist with resolution of problems with inspectors.
• Measure all work performed and report quantities for monthly estimates.
• Maintain accurate daily records of activities, quantities, and instructions.
