Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking an experienced equipment operator to support heavy civil construction projects in Abilene, TX. You will operate multiple heavy machines, follow safety protocols, and work closely with the crew to meet plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating heavy civil construction equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and survey markers.
• Proficient at operating multiple heavy equipment types and maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, graders, scrapers, compactors, and loaders safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections and report issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Maintain daily operation, maintenance, and production logs.
• Grade and excavate according to plans with precision.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials as needed.
• Communicate effectively with crew and supervisors.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as greasing and cleaning.
• Work in varying weather and challenging terrain.
