Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Suffolk County. The role is 28 hours per week, with Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 7:00am–3:00pm and rotating Sundays 8:00am–12:00pm.

You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, handle specimens, and support billing and administrative tasks. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training; or 3+ months experience as phlebotomist.
• Proven customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
