Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist in Eastern Suffolk County, NY (Selden, Medford, Patchogue, Shoreham, Shirley, Riverhead, Setauket, Port Jefferson, Mattituck) to join a network of labs. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:30am–3:00pm with alternating Saturdays 7:00am–12:00pm. Travel to multiple sites as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training/certification, and strong customer service. Compensation includes an hourly pay range and potential incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent phlebotomy certification or training
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
