Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Eastern Suffolk County, covering Selden, Medford, Patchogue, Shoreham, Shirley, Riverhead, Setauket, Port Jefferson and Mattituck. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:30am–3:00pm, with alternating Saturday 7:00am–12:00pm.

You will collect blood samples, prepare specimens, and maintain precise patient data across multiple sites. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preference for 1 year of

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
