Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across multiple Suffolk County sites including Mattituck. The role requires performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, travel to additional sites, and providing excellent patient service.

Pay ranges $17.75–$26.00 per hour, with a PST Incentive Plan and mileage reimbursement. Benefits apply to eligible employees; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
