Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our team serving Eastern Suffolk County, NY (Selden, Medford, Patchogue, Shoreham, Shirley, Riverhead, Setauket, Port Jefferson and Mattituck). Expect travel across sites with a Monday–Friday schedule and alternating Saturdays.

Pay ranges from $17.75 to $26.00 per hour with benefits and incentive opportunities. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with a preference for 1+ year of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
