Job summary

Checkr is seeking an Engineering Manager for Verifications to own a broad surface area, scale data quality, and automate workflows across a complex set of fulfillment integrations. You will guide evolution of architecture, reliability, and delivery processes to support rapid growth and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team, partner with Product and Compliance, and drive AI-assisted development while maintaining accuracy and policy adherence in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as software engineer with strong systems design.
• 4+ years as an engineering manager leading teams.
• Experience with complex third-party integrations and regulated products.
• Proven ability to improve reliability and operational metrics.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development and responsible adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Verifications engineering team, setting technical direction.
• Own reliability and quality of a broad portfolio of fulfillment integrations.
• Collaborate with Product to define roadmaps across multiple products.
• Drive architectural choices for scalable, automated verification systems.
• Champion AI-assisted development while preserving quality and compliance.
• Represent Verifications in cross-functional planning with leadership.
