Job summary

OC Sports & Entertainment, LLC is seeking an Operations Manager, Janitorial & Conversion in California to lead part-time labor teams across janitorial, cleaning, conversion, and machine operations. You will recruit, train, and coach staff, ensuring safe, timely event turnarounds and high standards of cleanliness.

The role requires floor plan literacy, OSHA knowledge, and strong leadership. The position is on-site at a major venue, with flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience in venue operations, janitorial management, or similar labor-intensive environments.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading large part-time teams.
• Strong understanding of event production layouts and facility workflows.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety.
• Ability to read floor plans and event setup diagrams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, train, schedule, and supervise part-time team members across Janitorial, Cleaning Crew, Conversion Crew, and Machine Operator roles.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop staff for event and non-event activities.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead venue conversions and ensure accurate event setups, changes, and breakdowns.
• Coordinate schedules with internal departments to meet deadlines.
• Supervise installation/removal of surfaces, seating, flooring, and related elements.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and event readiness of all areas.
• Track labor hours, approve timesheets, and assist with SOPs for safety and operations.
